Dear Valued Patient
We are pleased to announce that as of June 2, 2020, we are reopening for in-person appointments. As per the indications of our regulatory college and public health authorities, we will be taking extra precautions to keep you and our staff safe.
We understand these past months have been a difficult time for you and your family. Although the many life changes have been stressful we have seen the best of people supporting each other through this pandemic. I wanted to thank you personally for your flexibility and understanding as we work through this situation together.
Please know that our clinic has been making the necessary changes to best support your health needs and protect you from COVID-19. Our priority is the health and safety of our patients, staff and community. We’ve stepped up our protocols and guidelines for this reason. Rest assured that you can be confident knowing that we are committed to providing you the safest environment when attending our clinic for your therapy.
We are looking forward to seeing and treating you again. As you can imagine, there have been a lot of changes to our office protocols. Here are some changes that have been implemented.
We will be following the recommended protocols
As service times will now be impacted, we ask for you patience in helping us get you the care you need
Currently, in order to assist those who are working from home we are working toward implementing virtual visits. For some of you, you may not have childcare or transportation, for others you are self-isolating or are still not ready to come to the clinic just yet. We want to do better and add value by offering you an alternative. Please let us know who you are by emailing us at info@kiromedica.ca and we will contact you to begin the process of adding you to our virtual visit waiting list.
If you need to make an appointment, please email info@kiromedica.ca or call us at 416-477-1414. We will do our best to accommodate all patients while respecting physical distancing directives. We look forward to having you back and providing you the high level of care you have become accustomed to. Thank you for your continued support.
Yours in health,
The KIROMEDICA Health Team

We are looking forward to seeing and treating you again. As you can imagine, there have been a lot of changes to our office protocols. Here are some changes that have been implemented.
We will be following the recommended protocols
- You will be screened for COVID-19 when appointments are confirmed. We also have a questionnaire that will automatically be sent by email 2 hours before on the day of your appointment. Please fill this out beforehand as it is mandatory
- When you arrive at our office you will be asked to wait outside and call the office or alternatively you can scan a QR code on your phone to perform a self-check in. We are regulating entry into the office to prevent congestion
- If you are early you will not be allowed entry into the office and will be required to wait until their appointment time before entering. Patients who are late will forfeit their appointment time and must call the office to reschedule
- Patients without appointment times will not be allowed entry into the office. They will be asked to call for any general information or to book an examination or appointment by telephone
- We will require ALL patients to wear a face mask for the time being. Face masks will NOT be provided so please bring your own or your appointment will have to be rescheduled
- Informative signage throughout the clinic for self-screening and how to reduce spread of COVID-19
- Removal of reading materials and the water dispenser
- Staff are given information about physical distancing and temperature checks are performed to screen for symptoms. They will be required to stay at home if ill with COVID-19 symptoms
- We will need to increase the spacing of daily appointments for physical distancing and will stagger our appointment times to do so as well
- We are encouraging patients to attend alone where possible and refrain from bringing any additional personal belongings
- An enhanced cleaning schedule will be adhered to including additional time for disinfecting between patients, sanitizing the reception area, including high touch/high traffic areas such as POS machines, countertops, and seating surfaces
- Our clinic staff will disinfect all patient contact items. Examples are but not limited to treatment tables, massage table, chairs, machines, all equipment, contact surfaces, exercise equipment, therapeutic tools, devices, procedural work surfaces, commonly touched areas, light switches, door handles, taps, toilets, handrails, counter tops, touch screens/mobile devices, keyboards, clipboards, pens, towels, pillow cases etc.
- Use of virucides and special disinfectants and other Health Canada approved cleaning supplies
- Physical distancing guide markers including directional markers to help improve flow in and out of the clinic. Spacing of chairs in our waiting area
- Readily available hand sanitizer stations and access to hand-washing stations in most rooms including the installation of touch free soap dispensers
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and exit and MUST be used within sight of the front desk staff or health care practitioner
- Plexiglass shield at the front desk and/or other barriers throughout
- Contactless payment is being encouraged where possible, no cash will be accepted
- Masks worn by all team members and enhanced PPE for all clinical team members including face shields, medical grade face masks, goggles/glasses, gloves, scrub wear, hand sanitizer, additional hand towels, hand soap, and forehead thermometers
- Our washroom facilities will remain temporarily closed (aside from emergency situations), we ask that you come prepared for your appointment in this way
- Please recognize that there may be a wait time for appointments as we try to catch up with the appointments that were cancelled during the crisis
- We are also prioritizing individuals with any current increased discomfort and emergencies so please contact your office if the need for an appointment is more urgent
- We will continue to be open seven days a week to accommodate patients schedules
As service times will now be impacted, we ask for you patience in helping us get you the care you need
